City of Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur is the thriving capital of Malaysia. It hosts a population of 1.6 million, the largest of Malaysia’s cities. Any first time visitor to KL will be sure to hear about the stunning views offered by the Petronas Twin Towers. Free tours are offered along the Skybridge to gain a bird’s eye view of the sprawling metropolis below.

Suria KLCC is one of KL’s many large malls and is easily located directly under the Twin Towers. Getting to the Twin Towers is simple, as the LRT station (KLCC) lies within one minute walk.

For the seasoned shopper, a must visit is the famous Petaling Street Market. It is a China Town set on a Market square. A wide selection of goods are on offer, from trainers to telescopes, however, make sure each purchase is vehemently haggled to rock bottom prices.

Petaling Street is easy to find, a short 5 minute walk from the LRT station. Also, major bus routes operate in the area – catch one heading to ‘Kotaraya’ to reach the Market.

After the sun sets, KL lights up with a bustling night life. Undoubtedly, the most popular spot is a stretch of bars known as Changkat. Hundreds of people roll in and out the bars and clubs, which populate the street.

The most rated club in KL is Zouk. Located in the Golden Triangle of KL, Zouk is the home to the electronic dance scene, hosting resident DJs to fuel the atmosphere until the early hours.
